Occlusal splint therapy is a source of great confusion for most of us. There are several types of splints, used for different dental problems, such as TMD, bruxism, headaches, initial occlusal therapy, and sleep disorders. In this course, a decision tree and checklist will be utilized to guide a thorough discussion of differential diagnosis, splint options, appropriate splint selection, how to determine successful completion of splint therapy, and definitive therapy options.

About the Speaker:
Dr. DeWitt Wilkerson, D.M.D. is the Resident Expert of Integrative Dental Medicine and a senior faculty member at The Dawson Academy. He co-owns DuPont & Wilkerson Dentistry in St. Petersburg, Florida, and recently published his first book, “THE SHIFT– The Dramatic Movement Toward Health Centered Dentistry”. Dr. Wilkerson has lectured on integrative dental medicine, whole health dental treatments, restorative dentistry, occlusion, TMJ disorders, and airway/dental sleep medicine all over the world. Dr. Wilkerson is the current President of the American Academy for Oral and Systemic Health and is a past President of the American Equilibration Society.
