Building on the morning session or your own prior DSM knowledge, this session will delve deeper into screening, marketing, testing, treatment, and billing/documentation. Demonstrations and limited hands-on will be utilized for each of these critical pillars of DSM. Marketing assets, sleep tests, oximeters, impressions, bite registration, devices, adjustment, and software will be demonstrated or shared. There will be discussions on treatment philosophy, dose management, mitigating side effects, billing decisions, and what the near future holds for this important aspect of airway management.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand how to take analog/digital impressions and bite records.
  • Understand how to manage dose, adjust devices and minimize side effects.
  • Define success for you, the patient, physicians, and payers.

About the Speaker:

Mark practices DSM part-time in Rochester, Michigan, is the Lead Faculty for Clinical Education at ProSomnus Sleep Technologies and chairs the Dental Sleep Medicine program at the Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and as a Regular Presenter on Sleep and TMD at the Pankey Institute.  He has served on the Boards of Directors of the Pankey Institute, National Association of Dental Laboratories, the Identalloy Council, the Foundation for Dental Laboratory Technology, St. Vincent DePaul’s Dental Center, and the Dental Advisor.
