Course Description:

Creating a well sequenced treatment plan can be a challenge depending on the difficulty of the treatment involved and the unique circumstances for each patient.  Treatment planning can become even more complex in patients who have structurally altered TM joints. This program will provide a logical approach to recognizing and treating patients with both normal and structurally altered TM joints. The presentation will emphasize understanding the history, the clinical exam and the diagnostic findings and review cases with both unsuccessful and successful outcomes.

• Create an organized new patient exam that allows you to understand both the clinical and managerial aspects of treatment planning
• Understand what diagnostic information is needed for each patient and how to collect accurate diagnostic information on a consistent basis

About the Speaker:

Jim McKee maintained a restoratively based private practice in Downers Grove, Illinois with an emphasis on treating patients with structurally altered TM joints. In addition to private practice, Jim is a published author who has lectured national and internationally for over 30 years. Jim provides a new perspective on occlusion and TM joints that helps increase the predictability of occlusal, orthodontic, restorative, orthognathic and airway treatment options for both the patient and the dentist. He is the founder of the Chicago Study Club program and has extensive experience in directing study clubs in the United States and Canada. He is a Resident Faculty member at Spear Education in Scottsdale, Arizona. Jim is a past-president of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and the American Equilibration Society.
