This rapid paced half-day course presents the surgical protocols for socket grafting.  Building upon the preceding morning lecture, suturing techniques will be covered as well. The afternoon session correlates the fundamentals taught during the morning course.  It will provide the participant with the ability to construct ideal sites for future implant placement resulting in esthetic restorative outcomes. Conventional extraction techniques often result in reduced bone height and width, with associated esthetic and functional deficits. Learn how to remove the most difficult root tips predictably, with minimal trauma and loss of hard and soft tissue. By applying these newly developed techniques, instruments, and materials, you will learn to perform simple and predictable socket grafting procedures to maintain and augment bone as well as attached gingiva in and the healing extraction socket. Lecture, slides, and video presentations are included in this hands-on portion of this program.  Additionally, the live presentations of the techniques learned on typodonts during this “hands on” portion reinforces the concepts during the morning lecture portion.

Learning Objectives:

  • Hands on skills required to successfully regenerate bone into the tooth sockets immediately after removal.
  • Proper suturing techniques.
  • Able to construct ideal sites for future implant placement resulting in esthetic restorative outcomes.
