Dental Implants 101: Learn the Basics for Dental Implant Placement
CE Credits: 3 Hour Lecture | Subject: Implants | Recommended for: Dentists | Prerequisite: This lecture is required for Dr. Fitzgerald’s afternoon workshop.
Participants will learn the multiple criteria for ideal long-term results in placing and restoring dental implants. Objectives include Understanding BIC – Biologic Implant Complex, Learning the information gained from the CBCT evaluation of implant site, bone conditions for implant placement, soft tissue and its impact in placement of the dental implant, and longevity. In addition, the biologic width as with zero bone loss concepts will be addressed and the surgical protocol on how to place the implant.
About the Speaker:
Lee Fitzgerald DDS is a Diplomate of the ABOI, Fellow of the AAID, Fellow of the ICOI, 1985 DDS Graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry, 2007 Medical College of Georgia Maxi Course Graduate, in 1985 completed an Externship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, completed his undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin in 1981. Dr. Fitzgerald is also a 2006 graduate of the Maxi Course in Implant Dentistry from the Medical College of Georgia. He was awarded his Diplomate as a Board Certified Specialist in Dental Implants in 2013. He practices both surgical and prosthetic implant dentistry. Dr. Fitzgerald lectures and mentors dentists in Implant dentistry and is the owner of Forte Dental Implant Center which is a dental office and dentist training center.
