Smart Matching Universal Composites Hands-On Workshop
CE Credits: 3 Hour Participation | Subject: Restorative/Cements, Bonding, & Composites | Recommended for: Dentists | Notes: 20 Dentist attendees. Attendees bring loupes. | Prerequisite: Dr. Coleman’s morning lecture is required for this workshop.
The workshop will provide a hands-on comparison of traditional tint-based composite material with the newest Universal (Smart Matching Composites). The general limitations of each category of composites will be examined and the time and techniques that each material requires for rapid integration into your practice on Monday morning. You will be prepping and restoring both anterior and posterior composite restorations. If you wear loupes please bring them. All other equipment will be provided for each practitioner. You will prep; place and polish multiple restorations during the afternoon. You will also have the opportunity to handle various bonding agents and cements.
- Understand the various clinical applications of several different composite systems.
- Determine which systems work best in your hands that you can immediately apply in your office.
- Compare the different working parameters of available composite materials.
About the Speaker:
Dr. Coleman is a clinical adjunct professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and has been practicing dentistry in Houston since graduating first in his class in 1984. He currently serves as a clinical adjunct professor at the UT Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry. Dr. Coleman has written articles on dental techniques that have been published in trade journals, and he is a certified Cerec trainer for Patterson Dental Supply Company. He has lectured internationally on dental techniques and technology as well as published articles in numerous publications. He holds Fellowships and Masterships in numerous professional academies of dentistry and has served on the board of directors of many of those organizations, including the past president of the Academy of General Dentistry.
