BLS Certification: In-Person Hands-On Skills Session

Prerequisite: The online portion must be completed prior to the convention. The fee is $31 (payable online to the American Heart Association), and the course may be accessed here: https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls.
This is a blended learning course, which is a combination of eLearning, in which a participant completes part of the course online in a self-directed manner, followed by an in-person hands-on skills session. The in-person hands-on skills session will be held at the Mid-Continent Dental Congress.
The online portion of HeartCode BLS must be completed prior to the in-person hands-on skills session at the Mid-Continent Dental Congress. Upon completing the online portion, participants will receive a certificate to bring to the hands-on skills session. Participants who come to the course without their certificate will not be able to complete the hands-on skills session that day.
Upon completion of Part I and Part II, participants receive a BLS Provider Course Completion Card which is valid for two years.
- Certified in Basic Life Support.
- Ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
