Bigger. Better.
Back in St. Louis.

The new home of the Annual Mid-Continent Dental Congress, St. Louis Union Station, has been completely reimagined into a fabulous, one-of-a-kind destination. In addition to a AAA Diamond rated hotel, St. Louis Union Station features larger meeting and exhibit space in a beautiful setting; it is perfect for our growing convention. We’re already looking forward to attractions like the new St. Louis Aquarium, the outdoor fire and light show, the St. Louis Wheel, the Grand Hall 3D light show, an old fashioned Soda Fountain, and many terrific restaurants. We are thrilled to continue to provide the high quality dental education we are known for in this spectacular new venue.

2020 Mid-Continent Dental Congress Cancelled

The Greater St. Louis Dental Society (GSLDS) Board of Directors, in consultation with the Society’s Council on Scientific Sessions, has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Mid-Continent Dental Congress (MCDC) scheduled for October 22-23. Due to the ongoing and pervasive health crisis arising from the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and the associated government orders and public health guidelines, it is impossible for the 2020 MCDC to go forward as planned.

Our hearts are heavy; significant work has gone into planning a fabulous meeting for our inaugural year at our exciting new venue, St. Louis Union Station. Since the first meeting in 1939, MCDC has only missed two other years, 1942 and 1943, and that was due to WWII. Yet the health, safety, and well-being of our members, attendees, staff, and exhibitors are our top priorities, making the decision to cancel unavoidable.

At this time, the Board has determined that a virtual conference is not a viable option for us. We are however exploring smaller CE events that would allow us to adhere to CDC guidelines for social distancing, as well as individual webinars. We will provide updates as they are available.

We know that MCDC is a valued and beloved event for both our members and exhibitors. We thank you for your support and understanding as we move forward together in this unique and uncertain time. We look forward to being together again next year. Please mark your calendar now for the 2021 Mid-Continent Dental Congress: October 28-29.
